Perhaps she lost her own eyes in a terrible carnival accident and had them surgically replaced with those from an anonymous donor, but didn't tell her friends. However, her boyfriend, Jason, was beginning to get way creeped out whenever he looked into her eyes - and wrote this song about it. I was told at the time that my eyes would eventually grow back, but that turned out to be a lie. Carnies suck.
