Peace Lyrics
Peace will come to me
Peace will come to me
I'm leaving bitterness behind
This time I'm cleaning up my mind
There is no space for the regrets
I will remember to forget
Just look at me
I am walking of incoming
Look at the frequencies of which I vibrate
I'm going to light up the world
Peace will come to me
Peace will come to me
I'm leaving anger in the past
With all the shadows that it caused
There is radar in my heart
I should have trusted from the start
Just look at me
I am a living act of holiness
Giving all the positive virtues that I possess
I'm going to light up the world
Peace will come to me
Just wait and see
Peace will come to me
It's ment to be
Peace will come to me
Just wait and see
Peace will come to me
It's inevitability
Peace will come to me
This time I'm cleaning up my mind
There is no space for the regrets
I will remember to forget
I am walking of incoming
Look at the frequencies of which I vibrate
I'm going to light up the world
Peace will come to me
With all the shadows that it caused
There is radar in my heart
I should have trusted from the start
I am a living act of holiness
Giving all the positive virtues that I possess
I'm going to light up the world
Just wait and see
Peace will come to me
It's ment to be
Peace will come to me
Just wait and see
Peace will come to me
It's inevitability

I think the lyrics are: 'Just look at me, I am walking love incarnate' and 'With all the shadows that it cast'
=) Love this song, it's so....peaceful
I have the feeling "Peace" is a sequel to "Wrong". Whilst "Wrong" was filled with self-disappointment; "Peace" seems like a release from that negative state: accepting the past and going for a better future. Two extremes, if you ask me.
Also... are you sure it's not "I'm leaving anger in the past / With all the shadows that it CAST " instead of "caused"?
i agree with you. a grudge of any sort can only destroy. only when you let go of a bad situation, can one truly be at peace.

@CynicalTruth O contraire, my friend: to me Peace seems to be more of an ironic statement wherein the singer addresses those who always tell him to be 'more positive', and to 'stop being such a downer' or something. Listened to from this perspective, the song gives off a similar attitude to that showcased in 'Wrong'. Mind you, I don't have much proof for this, and it is only my personal interpretation, but what gave it away for me was the sheer pain and force with which Gahan sings 'Just look at me, I am walking love incarnate, look at the...

Mind you, I don't have much proof for this, and it is only my personal interpretation, but what gave it away for me was the sheer pain and force with which Gahan sings 'Just look at me, I am walking love incarnate, look at the frequencies with which I vibrate'. These lines sound powerful, not peaceful, and they seem to have a lot of pain behind them. As if the singer is saying "Look at me! I'm FINE! Are you happy now?! Look, I'm being POSITIVE for you! Now fuck off."
Doesn't the music in the first part remind you of The Beatles' "Across the Universe"? It may even have something to do with the title of the album.
To find some peace after bad life; to be clean and face a new life in a healthy way, but always meditating about the past; great tune, DM brand in the 21st century, true survivors of the 80s.
Godlike song. Both neutralizing, somniferous, astonishing and motivating.
a very uplifting song...it really lifts your spirits
love this song
// I'm leaving anger in the past With all the shadows that it caused There is radar in my heart I should have trusted from the start //
I like this passage very much.
It seems to me that Peace deals with inner-peace. You have to look inside of you to reach peace that transcends yourself. It begins with you, then you can deal with world outside...
