Road to Realization Lyrics
Driving down a lonely road,
I saw a man
He didn’t have a single thing,
But a bible in his hand.
He said to me,
Boy you better watch your back,
The killer comes, creeping from the darkest black.
That was the coldest night I think I’ve ever seen,
The sky was gray, the roads were wet,
And I was in between.
What he said I won’t forget,
Til the day I die,
He said he just got back from hell,
And he’d had a lovely time.
Fear is a crazy thing.
It’ll change a man.
It’ll take a quiet fool,
And put a gun in his hands.
Fear aint quite a feeling.
But a living thing.
You can try to hold it down,
But it will only break free.
Later that night I lay awake,
Thinking about what I’ve seen.
All the memories,
all the sights,
And all I’ve ever dreamed.
I looked at them and realized
that it never seemed,
to lead me to this moment.
This cold atrocity.
Free! (x3)
I saw a man
He didn’t have a single thing,
But a bible in his hand.
He said to me,
Boy you better watch your back,
The killer comes, creeping from the darkest black.
The sky was gray, the roads were wet,
And I was in between.
What he said I won’t forget,
Til the day I die,
He said he just got back from hell,
And he’d had a lovely time.
It’ll change a man.
It’ll take a quiet fool,
And put a gun in his hands.
Fear aint quite a feeling.
But a living thing.
You can try to hold it down,
But it will only break free.
Thinking about what I’ve seen.
All the memories,
all the sights,
And all I’ve ever dreamed.
I looked at them and realized
that it never seemed,
to lead me to this moment.
This cold atrocity.
