Again, I tried to interpret the lyrics as best as I could.
I think this song is about a girl that left her boyfriend for a new guy, a rich guy "New guy I bet he's loved by all your friends, Clothes and money, it's everything you want in a man. I hope that I'm everything he's not." But the new guy is a crappy person.
He's happy he's nothing like the new guy, but he's depressed about his ex because he knows that she still has feelings for him & they should be together.
I think this song & "Secrets" sort of go hand-in-hand.
