well I'm gonna try and take a shot at figuring out what this song means.

to me, it seems like he's talking about how in the end times, when the rapture happens. people are going to be left behind and how believers of Christ are different from all the non-believers. "this is what is going to separate us from them"

maybe he's saying all the things of this world will be gone in the end and that we shouldn't rely on them. "but don't mistake power lines for shelter".

and how people try their whole life to "earn" their way to heaven, but fall short in the end "don't climb for a lifetime only to fall short of infinity". those people have built their lives on sand rather than the concrete God provides. " with faith, some minds are sand; but i prefer concrete."

This song has one of the nastiest intros on the album. Pretty sik.
