Fast Lyrics
Goodbye Crack of dawn
Goodbye Harvester
Goodbye hello baby
After a long hard day of plowing dirt
Goodbye way of life
Goodbye pass it down
Goodbye up all night
Of praying for rain
A two year drought
Walking on faith
and toughin' it out
CHORUS
Hey what's past is past
Oh and nothing in this world lasts
But hey aren't those four lanes
Fast
Goodbye gravel road
Thanks for the ride
for watching over me
Remeber the time
I rolled my truck
And you were there
When i woke up
You walked me home
Yeah you lead me home...but
Hey what's past is past
And nothing in this world lasts
But hey aren't those four lanes
fast
Goodbye Tomorrows another day
You, know time it only moves one way
Away from past
Oh but memories never fade
Hey what's past is past
And nothing in this world lasts
But hey aren't those four lanes
fast
Goodbye Harvester
Goodbye hello baby
After a long hard day of plowing dirt
Goodbye way of life
Goodbye pass it down
Goodbye up all night
Of praying for rain
A two year drought
Walking on faith
and toughin' it out
CHORUS
Oh and nothing in this world lasts
But hey aren't those four lanes
Fast
Thanks for the ride
for watching over me
Remeber the time
I rolled my truck
And you were there
When i woke up
You walked me home
Yeah you lead me home...but
And nothing in this world lasts
But hey aren't those four lanes
fast
You, know time it only moves one way
Away from past
Oh but memories never fade
And nothing in this world lasts
But hey aren't those four lanes
fast

This is my favorite Jason Aldean song, it reminds me of moving away going to college. The song is about how nothing ever lasts. I think hes talking about his journey to be a music singer, and how he left everything he knew and loved to chase his dream. "Goodbye gravel road Thanks for the ride for watching over me Remeber the time I rolled my truck And you were there When i woke up You walked me home Yeah you lead me home"
always gets me everytime, it reminds me of my home and some of the gravel roads i tore up when i was younger. Jason Aldean is an amazing country artist
I think that this song is about him leaving the life he knows and remembers. He says goodbye to the farm in the first verse and goodbye to the gravel road in the second.
