More than likely the song is talking about a girl who feels lonely and depressed. She is all by herself only to have stars, and spaceships (meaning people who don't pay attention.) and dust and air (meaning nobody). Nothing grows, but everything moves, but it only goes in circles.. so either she feels like things are happening, but its nothing important, or she is in a trance, and life seems like its just passing her by, with the same things happening to her. Then there is nobody to talk to, so she has nobody who cares so she is depressed. Like a lot of people, she has dreams and things she cares about, but she just gave up. She has a steel melting smile, so a really beautiful one, but she is depressed and doesn't see the point anymore.
