The lyrics are actually from the Red Red Meat song of the same name, albeit sung in different order and musically sounding very different.
Yeah it seems like Gomez just took the Red Red Meat version, fit it to their own musical style, and then only used about 1/3 of the original lyrics. This song sounds awesome but I don't really get it.

this song just plain rocks. i think it's about the elaborate balancing act that is daily life for many people. we all get to the point in life where what we want what others (i.e. parents, police, "god")don't want us to have. at that point we either choose to take it anyways or back off and let it go. i think this refers to the person who chooses their own life in spite of what other people think, the "airsteam driver."

The use of she could be the speaker saying “behind the mask, he could be a she actually” and the line “I would return the favor, oversleep the rapture” would mean: “if I could I’d help you like you helped me, even stay around for the end times with you.”
And the “watermelon candy mouth, penthouse at the sands” could I guess be the speaker saying “if you are a girl, I’d like to date you.”
