i think hes saying in the second part, before the chorus is

i think its actually:

"love" could possibly be "life"
and i think the chorus is:

i think "ground" might possibly be "bride"
and i'm pretty sure it's "she's the devil at the soul"

i think this song is definitely about cheating, circa_survive_green. both the girl and boy involved are cheating on their significant others.
when he says "we look at shame like a game", he's admitting that they both know that what they're doing is wrong, but it's almost like they want to keep going until they get caught.
also, the lines "we'll hold our breaths until they figure out a story we can spin to keep on counting sins" seems to further indicate that they don't really care if they get caught or not, because they'll just lie about it and keep on cheating. neither of them plan on stopping. i mean, even their friends have told them that this is a bad, bad idea... and the girl is just horrible, when she says she "knows a traitor before he even knows himself", what she's basically saying is that she can get any guy she wants, even if he's taken, because she can make anyone fall into temptation.
i like this song alright, but it reminds me of something that happened to me, so it makes me really fucking angry.
