The Death Sedative Lyrics

No need for safety,
No need for highlights,
No need for safety,
No need for...

No need for safety,
No need for highlights,
No need for safety,
To feel contempt.

No need for safety,
No need for highlights,
No need for safety,
No need for...

No need for safety,
No need for highlights,
No need for safety,
To feel contempt.

You pray for a lifetime,
Always calling for a saviour,
Freedom is a sparkling magnet,
Cursed by addictions.

Where to go and hide? ...You've been crazy,
Jesus, you are our restoration

Well, that's my best attempt to decipher the end bit.

It makes sense of the sleeve note for the song, which just reads '...A Heroin Lullaby.' It would seem (assuming my lyrics are right - if anyone has any corrections please feel free to help out) that the song is about the world (in the Biblical sense of the word) and it's many addictions that distract us and pull us away from relationship with God, and finishes by reminding us that we all need Jesus as none of these things will satisfy us.
