Creeping Out Sara Lyrics

I was backstage at a festival in Germany
Talking to a cute, fair skinned brunette
I asked her if she wanted to have a beer
and if she liked our set
I noticed that her hair was longer in the back
I figured that's cuz she's canadian
That's why I was surprised when she told me she was fully lesbian
That's when I realized it was Sara
or maybe it was Tegan
I'm pretty sure that it was Sara
Cuz Johnny Samson said she was the cool one
I told her that I was a big fan of her band
She asked me if I had a favorite song
I admitted that I never actually heard them
But I like K.D. Lang
I told her this Jew knows about the Junos
and how they got robbed three times in a row
And then I asked her if she knew of anyone who's selling pills or blow
That's when I creeped out Sara
Or maybe I just pissed her
off when I asked her if her sister
And her had ever had a threesome
Where they both ganged up on one girl
A fourgy or a fivesome
Do they think strapons are groovy
And had they ever seen the movie
"Bound", and did they like Jenifer Tilly
Did they like Jennifer Tilly
Sara said she
Preferred Gina Gershon
Angelina Jolie
In a "Gia" movie
That was on HBO
And "If these walls could talk"
Made Tegan cry alot
After that I almost forgot what she said
That's the problem with Diazepam
So many things I don't remember
But I got a sinking feeling
It's not that i'm a clairvoyant
But I think I creeped out Sara
I was creeping out on Sara
I hope it wasn't Tegan
Cuz Skiba said she is the cooler one

"I asked her if her sister And her had ever had a threesome Where they both ganged up on one girl A fourgy or a fivesome Do they think strapons are groovy"

Ah these are the truly important questions that need to be asked

I love this song; classic NOFX humor. I'm going to go on a whim here and saying he's mocking Sara (from Tegan & Sara (the sister band, they're both lesbians)) for turning him down. This song is fabulous though; it's a fun summer song to drive to.

Ok so the lyrics are fairly self explanatory, it is a true story where Fat Mike was drunk and hanging out backstage at a festival and was talking to Tegan Quin of the Canadian duo Tegan & Sara and yes he creeped her out

It turns out that it was Tegan and not Sara that he creeped out. Because Fat Mike honestly didn't know weather he was creeping out Sara or Tegan they released two versions of the song. Creeping Out Sara was released on NOFX's album Coaster however the vinyl release titled Frisbee contained the song Creeping Out Tegan. Creeping Out Sara was released as the single

The song caused a bit of a stir but from fans of T&S but as Fat Mike explained in interviews - he was not being mean to them - he's the one who looks like a creep in the end.

Tegan responded to the song on twitter saying "nofx + t/s = lots of email/texts/blogs/phone calls. i think punk in drublic is a great record. we r lesbians. sara was creeped. i AM cooler."

The song is also not anti-gay in anyway - NOFX are very supportive of the GLBT scene and as Fat Mike says thay are a very gay positive band

Finally:

Johnny Samson is the former bass player for Propagandhi and now singer & guitarist for The Weakerthans

"Skiba" is Matt Skiba - lead singer and guiratist of Alkaline Trio

A boy once sent me this song. I thought it was pretty good, but I was a little biased.

This song is really cool and funny... This part: But I like K.D. Lang ... I hear: But I like anyway Maybe i'm mistaken but it would be funnier

Really? I originally thought that part went "but I like getting laid" I dunno, I like my version best

ey both of your versions are way funnier x'D

HAHA yeah it would be funny too, but that's really K.D Lang unfortunately...

Just an awesome song. Or maybe it was Tegan. I'm pretty sure that it was Sara. With We called it America best song on the album so far. Fortune smiled on me, I found this alb at random :D

did he just make fun of matt skiba in there?

Either way, he DEFINITELY made fun of Sara Quin.

It's just banter Fat Mike is good mates with Matt Skiba. He's in the cokie the clown music vid with him and in a me first and the gimme gimme's video.

I think the song is really funny, and the whole skiba comment was to balance the johnny samson line... like have someone think a different sister is the cooler one. the music is totally generic though, but I think that's the point, laugh at it and that's it

I love both songs. Creeping out Tegan & Creeping out Sara are both hilarious. I hope that it is true that they took no offense to this song. That would definitely be pretty awesome of them. There are a few differences throughout on Frisbee- the vinyl version of Coaster.
