One Two Three Four Lyrics

One Two Three Four

One, two, three, four
Drowned in the sound of the rain, in circles we will roam
The next time I'm going to say- Just let me go home
Rise to shine through the day, at night I'll be your sleeping pill
The tide washes away- all the space you fill left me empty

I don't mind; less to carry, more to find
It's easy to lose me
Don't turn around, don't look behind
You know it's about time

Tapping you on your shoulder, he'll ask you about himself
You turn around to answer- A quarter past twelve
And now we know how to live longer now, we've learned to burn fire faster
Just so we'll have more time to sit around and worry about what does not matter
And left you empty; it's alright, less to bury, more to find
It's easy to lose me

Don't turn around, don't look behind
You know it's about time

Don't turn around, don't look behind
You know it's about time

Don't turn around, don't look behind
You know it's about time

Don't turn around, don't look behind
You know it's about time

Don't turn around, don't look behind

Don't turn around, don't look behind

Cover art for One Two Three Four lyrics by Linda Draper

This is clearly about a breakup, and the singer is trying to say that she has less pressure to take care of other people now that they have broken up. She is also hopeful that she will find someone new, hence the line "more to find" I think it's a bit of a bitter song, like maybe she's only saying this to cheer herself up but she doesn't really mean it.

Dear luv the world,

First of all, I want to agree with you. I too, love the world! I am not sarcastic when I say this. I am sincere... to a fault, some may say.

Long story short. I wrote the song. I know best what I wrote about so let me clear up just one thing, if I may. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and making your own interpretation on what this song was about. However, looking back, I wrote it not in bitterness but rather, acceptance.

I won't delve into it anymore than that.

Thank...
