Backward Siren Song Lyrics
the sound we used to make was skin and bones
our very self indulgent drone
but have things changed that much today?
well, it's too far for me to say
our necks still strained from heavy heads
we used to shoulder round the woods
and though that air was never fresh
we soldiered on like blood and flesh
and it softened the blow to our heads
but we find ourselves at end after end
and when the fabric starts to fray
we would return on other days
and we were born once again
skin on skin and arm to arm
it's bound to crash but don't be alarmed
the lake remains a stable floor
and it is just outside our doors
so we're not lonely anymore
lonely like we were before
our very self indulgent drone
but have things changed that much today?
well, it's too far for me to say
our necks still strained from heavy heads
we used to shoulder round the woods
and though that air was never fresh
we soldiered on like blood and flesh
but we find ourselves at end after end
and when the fabric starts to fray
we would return on other days
and we were born once again
it's bound to crash but don't be alarmed
and it is just outside our doors
so we're not lonely anymore
lonely like we were before
