My interpretation of this song: In a relationship, one of the two started trying to take control. But things got out of hand and now it's threatening to tear their relationship apart if they don't try "to stop this useless fight".
There's also kind of a biblical reference: "An error in my genesis . . ." It suggests there's something inherently flawed in us that makes the relationship a rocky one.

Well, this song is really great!I can see why "April Rain" is number one on the Dutch charts. The acoustics are amazing and so are the vocals. Marco made this song a bit more special..As for the meaning I'm still trying to figure out what the lyrics mean but I'd like to think of it as having control on you own fate and never let the storm get you down..Great album.

It is like a storm, that just builds up (verse 1), and her partner argues in the chorus, that her fits of anger will not make her any better, but it will destroy them both. She says that she has anger issues because of something in her genesis, which in Greek means origin.. So her origin as a female gave her monthly menstruation, which affects her emotionally.. Just a thought..
