Butterfly Fly Away Lyrics
Kept me safe and sound at night
Little girls depend on things like that
You were always there when
I looked back
Must have been as hard as it could be
Scared things wouldn't turn out right
You would hold my hand and sing to me
How you wonder who you'll be
Cant go far but you can always dream
Wish you may and wish you might
Don't you worry hold in tight
I promise you there will come a day
Butterfly fly away
Flap your wings now you can't stay
Take those dreams and make them all come true
We've been waiting for this day
All along and knowing just what to do
Butterfly, butterfly, butterfly, butterfly fly away
Butterfly fly away
This sounds like such a cute luluby
I'm not a fan of Miley Cyrus. But this song seems so real and touching.
sadly.. i love this song. i had a single dad raising me too.
i love this song... I also had a single dad raising me most of my life. My mom disappeared and decided that she wanted nothing to do with me of my older sister until now since i am graduating she wants to see me and yeah.. so this song is absolutly amazing
i know she sang this about her dad. but i can relate because i grew up with just my mom. and it was tough for her. i love her and thank her everyday. this is probably one of Mileys best songs. =)
I grew up with a mostly with a single Dad so this really hits home for me......it could be a Mom or a Dad though....great song :)
this song reminds me so much of my parents, especially my dad. he's always there and sometimes when im so pissed off at him i listen to his song and think of how lucky i am to have a loving father. i feel bad for anyone who hasnt had both parents like xokvl, rosie202, underoathchk17, and SausageQueen all said, and this song always hits home for almost everyone
this song reminds me of my own mother:) So pretty. I love you Miley!
~ I just watched The Hannah Montana movie since my 9 year old Granddaughter is so in to it, and I heard this song for the first time, it made my eyes leak because it took me back remembering doing all this and much more raising my Son as a single parent.
