What i think this song is a bout granted its not a accurate meaning , But what this song means to me .. (lyrics) People say I'm the life of the party Because I tell a joke or two Although I might be laughing loud and hearty Deep inside I'm blue ( i may look happy but on the inside I'm sad ) So take a good look at my face You'll see my smile looks out of place If you look closer, it's easy to trace The tracks of my tears ( you'll see what i actually feel n see how hurt i'm ) I need you, need you Outside I'm masquerading Inside my hope is fading Just a clown oh yeah ( you need someone but you feel like a clown because they don't care) Since you put me down My smile is my make up I wear since my break up with you ( you put me down but i try to fake a smile even though your hurting me on the inside ) so thats what i think the song is about somebody trying to get over their ex by faking a smile but finally breaking down & showing them how they really feel
