this song may sound cheesy and simple, but it's quite truthful. in this song i see a couple who had their run, and honestly loved each other. even as they separate, they still love each other. you can see that because she doesn't just up and leave, she gently tells him that it's her time to go. that's what the song is about: how lovingly she put an end to their relationship, and how he knows it's the end, and he's being very honest about the pain he's anticipating. the song is sweet and painfully real, therefore it's very easy to relate to.
I've loved this song since I first heard it, but it really hit home for the first time today ;(
