Sure As Hell Lyrics
Condemn yourself
With this nonsense
And sure as hell
I still love you
And as long as there's a God in Heaven
I will want you
And as long as Hell is still burning
I will want you back
I still want you back
I still want you back
I still want you back
I still want you back
With this nonsense
And sure as hell
I still love you
And as long as there's a God in Heaven
I will want you
And as long as Hell is still burning
I will want you back
I still want you back
I still want you back
I still want you back

I'm pretty sure it's "Condemn yourself with this nonsense", not lonesome. Or at least that makes more sense. And it sounds like "I still want you back" is repeated, not "I still want you, love", but I could be wrong.
Thanks. I had to leave earlier so I tried to transcribe and type out the lyrics as fast as I could, and obviously I probably shouldn't have done that. Hah. But thanks.

I love this, by the way. Great opener.
I think it is pretty self explanatory, he wants this girl back.
Very touching song even though it is so short, and great opening to the song
for the simplicity of this, it's one of the best album openers. it kind of sounds like it could have come off of Brand New's "Deja Entendu" album
To me it sounds like, "You damn yourself with this nonsense."
Just saying.
Fairly straight-forward. And it is, "You damn yourself with this nonsense."
and there it's, "As long as Hell is still burning hot."
That's what it sounds like, And that's what the cd booklet says.
this entire song gives me chills. i can hardly take it.
This 1-minute song is a perfect example of how so much can be said by saying very little at all. The majority of the passion coming from this song is simply the music playing. Of course the singing is amazing too. Honestly I feel a lot more listening to this album opener than I do from pretty much any other full length song. It just expresses in such a beautifully simple way the feeling you get when you truly, unconditionally love someone. That despite the time that passes by, or how much the other person pushes you away, you will always love them just the same. For me personally, when I listen to this song I think of my best friend since childhood that I stopped talking to about a year ago. She was my like a sister to me and I will always love her and be there for her should she ever need me.
