great song...great band....too bad they broke up.

i think the songs about learning from your past and your mistakes, moving on and starting anew. It seems pretty obvious with lyrics like "Start over clean and just empty this plate," "And pretend that what is known does not exist And you will find a light," and "Sailing alone around the room never seemed best."

feels like its about something important coming to an end, and having to deal with it. having to deal with letting go, or saying goodbye, or knowing that the end is near. "start over clean and empty your plate" empty your plate meaning finish what youve started until its done. "this is wearing thin,we all just see white, nothing more beautiful" could possibly mean that whatever their project is (whether its a relationship, or their band) its fragile ("wearing thin") and theyre disorientated and unsure about what to do, blinded, paralysed ("we all just see white") and that whatever is ending is clearly of high value to them ("nothing more beautiful")
