Azimuth

This open water
It keeps us from finding the grasp of courage
Keeps us from seeing the strength we have
To bring us through the night
The constant radiation of what keeps the people blind
Is building force to hold our course
Towards crimson glowing skies
And even from the rail, we can hear the sirens calling
To bring us down
And as the smoke clears
Will anything be easier?
Or is the light so blinding
Like shadows, we find comfort in the dark
And as we watch from our beds
The shadows creep up the walls
To fantasize whatever it was, that made your eyes closed
And so we point towards the sky
And though our hearts may shiver
We will draw in clouds of white
'Til darker clouds of matter leave us huddled round the light
The question, will we drink up?
To bring us through the night
In hopes our brothers come at dawn
Blessed with second sight
We all follow down
Swept by the current without strength against the strife
And though we wait and contemplate
We satiate and drown
Inside deciding that life is over
And ships endowed from stern to bow
With souls torn from the sound
Slowly decided that life is over
Lost and tired
Bound from thought and paralyzed
We pray for those the wind still blows
That sail to touch the sky
