Come Back Lyrics
Come back, come back to me
I’ve been waiting, patiently
Come back, come back to me
I’ve been waiting here patiently
Walking a thin white line
Between love and hate
Wasted all of my time
I’m in another world
I’m in another place
I can use a little company
A little kindness can go a long way
Weeks turn into months
Months turn into years
We’re reaching the same conclusions
Gathering up the fear
Come back, come back to me
I’ve been waiting, patiently
Come back, come back to me
I’ve been waiting here patiently
Light will always shine
In the heart of you
In truth and in reality
Only blindness can hide it away
I could use a little restraint
A little kindness can go a long way
Weeks turn into months
Months turn into years
We’re reaching the same conclusions
Gathering up the fear
Living the same delusions
Gathering up the fear x4
Come back x5
I’ve been waiting, patiently
Come back, come back to me
I’ve been waiting here patiently
Walking a thin white line
Between love and hate
Wasted all of my time
I’m in another world
I’m in another place
I can use a little company
A little kindness can go a long way
Weeks turn into months
Months turn into years
We’re reaching the same conclusions
Gathering up the fear
Come back, come back to me
I’ve been waiting, patiently
Come back, come back to me
I’ve been waiting here patiently
Light will always shine
In the heart of you
In truth and in reality
Only blindness can hide it away
I could use a little restraint
A little kindness can go a long way
Weeks turn into months
Months turn into years
We’re reaching the same conclusions
Gathering up the fear
Living the same delusions
Gathering up the fear x4
Come back x5

The most addictive song from the SOTU album.
walking a thin white line...between love & hate
something about that line, hits me every time
for the most part SOTU is definitely a happier Mode
Definitely the best song on SOTU.
This song really displays Dave's maturity as a songwriter. Excellent song. It can be about someone longing a lost love that didn't end well. But it can also be much more personal to Dave, about him wanting his old self back again after his drug problems.
