this song is so amazing. the Dark Was The Night album is absolutely genius.

Dark Was the Night is probably the best selection of indie artists ever put together in one album to create a compilation of truly original new music and new takes on old songs. This song in particular is my favorite of the whole album, i can really relate to it and i love the ghostly sound it has as well as the guitar chord, the combination of singing voices from Feist and Ben Gibbard are perfect.
I do love this version of this song, but I think it is important to note that it is a cover of a Vashti Bunyan song from 1966.
Her version is magical and everyone that likes the Feist Ben Gibbard version needs to give it a listen.

indeed i've loved this album very much... it's got to be the best album for 2009
On another note i forgot to mention its actually refreshing and nice to hear Ben Gibbard singing for once on a song rather than just saying a line of a lyric, pausing and then saying another line of a lyric, if i have any criticism of his singing it would be that and it can sometimes be an irritation on certain Death Cab for Cuttie tracks.
This song is so beautiful. They both have great voices. And Ben in his verse - damn that was amazing.

I haven't got the album yet but heard this song on Hollyoaks and it is so so beautiful :) I like it a lot.
This is one of my current favorites. The story is so great, and inspirational at that.
