I saw Carter Hulsey perform, and he explained the origins of this song. For anyone interested this song is about multiple things. First Carter told his story of when he had a dream and in it his father had a heart attack. He woke up a little worried but knew it was just a dream.His dad hadn't had any heart trouble so he didn't think much of it. He then tried to call his mom but couldn't reach her. She finally called back and said his dad had suddenly had a heart attack and was in the hospital. This story is also about how all of Carter's friends had gone their own ways, and his performing career really led him away from them. I don't remember but I think there was another aspect to it anyway that's it.
