Her courage, which she characterizes as "roaring" -- like a lion -- is too proud (vain about its mane) to reveal them (the things she's still so afraid of) to anyone.
I ADORE this song -- love the drums, and love the way she sounds on the chorus. I am wondering, though, why the hell she thinks heaven will smell like the airport.

@persimmon I love both persimmon and bettyfelon's ideas. I also think coffee and jet fuel would have to be in there somewhere. There's nothing quite like coffee and jet fuel - the smell of potential energy everywhere.

oh my god why can't this song go on longer? it's beautiful. and so true. i love being an animal.
I watched an 'The Interface' podcast on iTunes of Neko singing this song - as well as others. She clearly says "and will reveal them to no one" and "pick up that rock (drink from that lake)". What was great about this clip was that it's just her, Paul and Kelly and they sound awesome. I like the interview portion as well and of course she looks radiant.
