Gloria Lyrics

Well now, she don't need to see the sun
ahead
don't need that help from god above
If you're losing her don't be sad
cause she will offer you heart attacks

She's tired of problems that you caused
her mind
Tired of all those lies in your freak show
Tired of being alone at night
being the lowest cat on earth

So Gloria steps out from the prison
Gloria's no longer the wasted disco girl
you've been dreaming about
Gloria alone now forever Gloria away in
the air now
Gloria she's no longer your slave

It's time for you to see yourself
all the misery you brought up
Gloria's one day ahead
watching you from the heaven's gate

She's tired of problems that you caused
her mind
Tired of all those lies in your freak show
Tired of being alone at night
being the lowest cat on earth

So Gloria steps out of the prison
Gloria's no longer the wasted disco girl
you've been dreaming about
Gloria alone now forever Gloria away in
the air now
Gloria she's no longer your slave

Gloria alone now forever Gloria away in
the air now
Gloria she´s no longer your slave

No, not anymore

Gloria steps out of the prison
Gloria's no longer the wasted disco girl
you've been dreaming about
Gloria alone now forever Gloria away in
the air now
Gloria she´s no longer your slave

I believe you might be wrong, Ashtray-girl...

Several of the lyrics point to suicide here. :(

"So Gloria steps out of the prison ... Gloria alone now forever Gloria away in the air now Gloria she's no longer your slave"

"It's time for you to see yourself all the misery you brought up Gloria's one day ahead watching you from the heaven's gate"

The "Heaven's Gate" part is what got me thinking about it, and then the lyrics about "no longer your slave" and "steps out of prison" made more sense. She's killing herself cause this guy has been so aweful to her.

"Well now, she don't need to see the sun ahead, don't need that help from god above"

She doesn't care about what happens to her in the afterlife, all she cares about is escaping whoever this guy is that is treating her like the "lowest cat on earth", the "wasted disco girl".

It's about a girl who decided to get out of a disfunctional relationship and finally only rely on herself. Love it

It is about a girl who finally goes her own way, becomes independent. She doesn't need 'it' anymore nor does she need the pain of the guy who is playing games with her though the guy is not playing games, instead he is playing hard to get but now when she's leaving him, he thinks about her freedom and how it is his fault that she'll be gone.

To me it seems not about a break up, but about someone who died.

'Don't need that help from God above', maybe because she's in heaven herself? You can also see it as 'Don't need that help from God, above'.. as in she don't needs that help from God when she's above :)

'Gloria, alone now forever. Gloria, away in the air now' Speaks for itself.

I'm not sure but I just think that. Someone who can tell me why you think it's about a relationship? :)
