Crack The Skye Lyrics
Blessed visionary cut me with your sun
The rivers ran in blood
Spark fueled to fire
Deep withing the endless void
Searching for a sign
The vessel forged inside me
Watches over like the death
Of the moon
Strike the shepherd
Sheep will scatter
Mountains of despair
I can see the pain
It is written all over your face
The screaming arrows tear through my soul
In the dawn your face is haunting
White ghostly dreams
Weight of worlds is on your shoulders
Hear the voice of gold
I can see the pain
It's written all over your face
Desperate heathens flock to sirens
Guard your heartache well
Momma don't let them take her
Take her down
Please tell Lucifer he can't have this one
Her spirits too strong
It's written all over your face
I can see the pain
You can make it all go away
The rivers ran in blood
Spark fueled to fire
Searching for a sign
The vessel forged inside me
Watches over like the death
Of the moon
Strike the shepherd
Sheep will scatter
Mountains of despair
I can see the pain
It is written all over your face
The screaming arrows tear through my soul
In the dawn your face is haunting
White ghostly dreams
Hear the voice of gold
I can see the pain
It's written all over your face
Guard your heartache well
Momma don't let them take her
Take her down
Her spirits too strong
It's written all over your face
I can see the pain
You can make it all go away

I think this one is an easy interpretation. With the name of the album, we easily get this music as a tribute to Brann's sister, Skye. There are some obvious parts like "Momma don't let them take her", "Please tell Lucifer he can't have this one". Of course this music fits in the rest of the story the album tell us, but imo it's really a metaphor to what happened to Brann and his sister.
This songs is amazing i love troy's singing in it it just pulls it together and Scott Kelly doesn't do too bad of a job either, yah this is about Brann's sister and how he didn't want her to go away. Secondly it is about Rasputin's spirit (with the boy's soul) going through the crack in the skye this is rasputin's last effort to bring the boy back to his body.
Yeah I agree and I think the line the rivers ran in blood refers to Rasputin dying in a river as well as both of his siblings when he was a child.

in my post i just did i said it was he but no it doesn't I think give an direct answer to if it is a he or not and by this song it sounds like it is more of a girl than anything
I can see the pain It's written all over your face
bleh this line bugs the hell out of me too. Whoever wrote it tried to cram too many syllables in. Every time this part comes around I have to change the words in my head to keep myself from cringing.
The song is about the moment someone loses a loved one. In this case, about Brann losing his sister Skye whom this song is a tribute too.
This song is so heavy, so beautiful, so good. Is that a vocoder in the mix around 4 minutes in? And if so, what's it saying?
the voice says "Bright eyes shine, under my control. Bright eyes shine, takes it's final toll."

I know the true meaning. My therapist is Brann Dailors uncle lol. It is about Skye and how Brann felt. You are all right. :)
This song is awesome, except for the part that says: "I can see the pain It's written all over your face" It sounds bad and messes the song up. However, I think that Scott Kelly is great in this song, and the melodic vocals are amazing.
I can't wait for the whole album to be released so I can listen to The Last Baron. What does everyone else think about the 6 tracks of the album so far?
They've really really outdone themselves with 'Crack the Skye'...

...and need I say anything about 'The Last Baron'???
