It's a perfect summation of the magnificent struggle of the human mind to make sense of our life. The unsatisfiable curiosity that drives us, the desire to understand, to find out how the world truly works, that one greatest adventure of mankind which will never end as long as we exist.
Religion is a foolish invention – priests/preachers of any faith; NO ONE will ever know what becomes of us, so why are we wasting time with all the customs... How can you believe in something another HUMAN has said... (our time on the Earth is as if it were non existent/so tiny, like a grain of sand. How big is the universe? Is it all that exists? Was there more before it? Before that? What was the beginning?), ignorance truly is bliss, it's hard how people can't see this (the song isn't saying to be a bad person, it's just saying by default, religion is fake and this is coming from a pagan rock band that have more songs about the ancient Gods than any other band I know); all religion has caused is suffering.
