Enough Lyrics
Ego selfish prima donna
Dancing in your poisoned cage
Thinking that your conscience's clearer
If you drink your dreams away
Feed your anger to the devil
In yourself built wishing well
Take a swim in muddy waters
All the dirt will leave a trail
Had enough symphonies of sorrow
Be so brave and weep me away
Masterpiece of treachery
Built a wall and made me crumble
Just because I am in love
Don't you lie, that you kept all
Those are toys that you have got
Smash the mirror of the version
Keep the dagger that you made
Mirror, mirror, is there someone
Who can make your day today
Had enough symphonies of sorrow
Be so brave and weep me away
Had enough symphonies of sorrow
Be so brave and weep me away
Masterpiece of treachery
Kept my thoughts buried in a box
When it's shut, I still kept it locked
You draw a play written with my blood
Went ahead just to feed the lot
Had enough symphonies of sorrow
Be so brave and weep me away
Had enough symphonies of agony
Be so brave and weep me away
Masterpiece of treachery
Dancing in your poisoned cage
Thinking that your conscience's clearer
If you drink your dreams away
In yourself built wishing well
Take a swim in muddy waters
All the dirt will leave a trail
Be so brave and weep me away
Masterpiece of treachery
Just because I am in love
Don't you lie, that you kept all
Those are toys that you have got
Keep the dagger that you made
Mirror, mirror, is there someone
Who can make your day today
Be so brave and weep me away
Had enough symphonies of sorrow
Be so brave and weep me away
Masterpiece of treachery
When it's shut, I still kept it locked
You draw a play written with my blood
Went ahead just to feed the lot
Be so brave and weep me away
Had enough symphonies of agony
Be so brave and weep me away
Masterpiece of treachery

Maybe I'm not looking at wider picture but this is what first came to mind when I read the lyrics; I think the song is about her and what happened with the band, unlike "walk along" which she said it wasn't a response to the band. And here is why I believe this song deals with what the band said about her and how she felt and dealt with it.
“Ego selfish Prima Donna Dancing in your poisoned cage Thinking that your consciences clearer If you drink your dreams away” In thins part she is refering to what the band said about her on the letter, that she was a diva and so on.
"Had enough symphonies of sorrow The beast of prey a breath away Masterpiece of treachery" The chorus is her saying that she doesn't want to sing anymore of Tuomas' music. "masterpiece of treachery" I guess is that she felt she was betrayed by the band for firing without any previous notice, the masterpiece could be either the conjuction of all the years they were together and the music they did, or it could be that final moment they had at their last concert.
"Built a wall and made me crumble Just because I am in love" How all the blame they did was towards the one she loves, her husband for changing her. Or if it were true what some say then she might be refering to being fired and put in the position she was placed for loving someone who was not...well you know who.
"Don't you cry now look at all the Dolls and toys that you have got" This might be saying to Tuomas not to lament that he doesn't have her (in the band), the dolls and toys might be refering to the rest of the members or to the fans that still follow them and took their side but don't support her anymore.
"Kept my thoughts buried in a box With each shot I still kept it locked"
Here she is saying that she didn't attack back and said things that might have put them to shame and embarrase them? Because that's probably how she felt about the things they said on the letter that perhaps it should have been kept quiet and between them not told to the world.
"You drew a play written with my blood Went ahead just to feed the lot" Here she might be refering to the song "Bye Bye Beautiful" and "feed the lot" might again be refering to the fans.
Or maybe is just a love song about a woman who loves a man who is too caught up in himself to see that she loves him, and too concited and uptight to love someone like her.
And for the record I support both Nightwish and Tarja, the description above is just an interpretation, I'm trying to see the song through Tarja's eyes, I'm not trying to make Nightwish look bad.
I think this is about Nightwish, Tuomas in particular. Tarja's response to 'Bye Bye Beautiful' ... a little late, yeah, but better than never :) I took 'all dirt will leave a trail' to mean that all the things Tuomas said about her in the letter will prove to be false and he'll be discredited. In Tarja's eyes, of course, because we don't know what went on.
There is a certain "playwright" whom this reminds me of. I know the Tarja/Nightwish breakup story, but I can imagine this being sung from the perspective of one of the playrwright's characters for bad plot. "Dolls and toys" I'd take in a literal sense, as a symbol of the playwright's past success.
Tuomas had million of "Toys and dolls" at home...Tarja is trying to tell us that Tuomas is only a child..:)...Don'T Get me wrong I love both Tuomas and Tarja
I pretty much agree with everything that was said here. I believe this is a song about Tuomas, the response to "Bye Bye Beautiful." It might have come late because Tarja might be keeping her anger and her feelings, I don't know.
Toys and dolls renforces the idea that Tuomas himself gives, by discribing himself as Boy in numberless Nightwish songs.
The "mirror of perversion" remembers me of Tuomas' old lyrics, which were very pervert.
A great suprise, if she is the author of these lyrics! Much more poetic than "Bye Bye Beautiful"! :D
