She covered it for a Starbucks compilation CD and it's all lovely and acoustic, definitely prefer this to Sam Sparro
i definitely enjoy Katy's version better that Sam Sparro's
wow i love this song. i think shes singing about how when your in love with someone nothing matters inless they are there with you. they are the one that makes everything worth while. when that someone is with you, you see the stars (gold) but when they arnt with you are blinded with sadness (black)and cant enjoy the stars.
SAM SPARRO is definately better his version blows hers out of the water.

I LOVE Katy but I do think that the Sam Sparrow version is a lot better. The song is basically about being in love with someone and how nothing else matters if you don't have them.
