Blue Water Lyrics
Move back, Step outside yourself
Just move back, Step outside yourself
Just move back stepping outside yourself
Feel I'm falling upwards looking at hell
Sea Green
If you know what I mean
Please unleash this animal inside
Out of my mind
Well it's the perspiration
it's draining my head
Perspiration
is draining my head
Perspiration
is draining my head
Perspiration
is draining my head
Blue Angel
In this night fall
This night for us?
It's substance, it dawns
The suffocation stops?
In this night form
The Constant Pain
The Astral Plane?
Bluewater
It keeps grinning
It's got to bleed
Blue Blue, I'm preying for you
Get out the electrostatic hotwire
I've got a drain on you
Blue Angel
In this night form
It's substance, it dawns
We feed at nightfall
Blue Angel
This stillness nightform
Minion
Come down
Minion
In the depths
Just move back, Step outside yourself
Feel I'm falling upwards looking at hell
Sea Green
If you know what I mean
Please unleash this animal inside
Out of my mind
it's draining my head
Perspiration
is draining my head

The song is about astral projection, hence the lyrics "Just move back, stepping outside yourself" and "Well life looks a little hazy, looking at myself". The line "The constant pain" (as pointed out in the lyrics above) is used as an anagram for "The Astral Plain". If you watch the video for the track (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09AZd1Z-Ek0) it's clear what the song's subject matter is.
As we all know, FOTN's music (including themselves) revolves around the Occult, Shamanism, Mysticism and subject matter along those lines. Also there name "Fields of the Nephilim" is a reference to the rebel angels known as "The Nephilim". But enough analyzing, another powerfull song from a hard working band. True Gothic rock. :D
I generally agree with the astral projection interpretation offered above, but an important caveat should be made: “the constant pain” is not an anagram for “the astral plane.” An anagram is a rearrangement of letters in a word(s) to form another word(s). The above mentioned phrases cannot be anagrams of each other because “the constant pain” is missing several necessary letters (r, 2 l’s, and a second e), in addition to including several unnecessary letters.
