Mother nature surrounds me outside of heavy steel
She is now reduced to this
Having been hit by the fists of modern man
Drive for hours until I get to where I need
But point A is still point B
We run in circles until we're too dizzy to see
You're clenching your stomach
It takes you back to where you started
Shivering
Through cold night air
Screaming loud
To no avail
Feeling less alive each time I lose my grip
I am unfazed when I slip
Sinking always felt so comfortable somehow
Pain that springs from lack of some contingency
Realization but no surprise
I'm so tired still I half open my eyes
You're clenching your stomach
It takes you back to where you started
Shivering
Through cold night air
Screaming loud
To no avail
Shivering
Through cold night air
Screaming loud
To no avail
She is now reduced to this
Having been hit by the fists of modern man
Drive for hours until I get to where I need
But point A is still point B
We run in circles until we're too dizzy to see
It takes you back to where you started
Through cold night air
Screaming loud
To no avail
I am unfazed when I slip
Sinking always felt so comfortable somehow
Pain that springs from lack of some contingency
Realization but no surprise
I'm so tired still I half open my eyes
It takes you back to where you started
Through cold night air
Screaming loud
To no avail
Through cold night air
Screaming loud
To no avail

I think this song is in the point of view of a murderer. The murderer would drive the victim out into the wilderness where no one could get them and then do something to the victim's stomach and the victim would scream and whatnot.
This is about man. We're killing nature, killing ourselves and we see it, but we're so tired. We try to hold on, but we lose our grip and each time we fall (screw up) we get less and less sensitive to it. We scream and shiver to no avail. It's like we're getting no where despite our running. It's a pessimistic view but it's how we feel sometimes.
