Here's Where The Story Ends Lyrics

People I know, places I go,
Make me feel tongue tied.
I can see how people look down,
They're on the inside.

Here's where the story ends.

People I see, weary of me, showing their good side,
And I can see how people look down.
I'm on the outside.

Here's where the story ends,
Oh, here's where the story ends.

Its that little souvenir of a terrible year,
Which makes my eyes feel sore.
And I never should have said,
The books that you read were all I loved you for.

Its that little souvenir of a terrible year,
Which makes me wonder why.
Its the memories of the shed,
That made me turn red.
Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Crazy I know, places I go,
Make me feel so tired.
And I can see how people look down,
I'm on the outside.

Here's where the story ends,
Oh, here's where the story ends.

Its that little souvenir of a terrible year,
Which makes my eyes feel sore.
And who ever would have thought,
The books that you bought were all I loved you for?

And the devil never said, go down to the shed.
I know where I belong.
But the only thing I ever really wanted to say
Was wrong, was wrong, was wrong.

Its that little souvenir of a terrible year,
Which makes me smile inside.
So I'll cynically, cynically say
The world is that way.
Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Oh, here's where the story ends,
Ooh, here is where the story ends.

Cover art for Here's Where The Story Ends lyrics by Tin Tin Out

The song by Tin Tin Out sung by Shelly Nelson came out after I had gone through a divorce. After 10 years of marriage - here is where the story ends. I prefer this version to the Sundays version. From when I realized the marriage was over to when we finally went our seperate ways took a year. At one point during that turmoil of pain and realization it was over, I had a thought I had first fallen in love with her because of her record collection. After that year after trying so long to make it work, I had a feeling of freedom and I smiled inside. I had made it. I had come to this moment in time. Through all the good times and the bad times - here's where the story ends. I listened to this song a lot at the time and I still can't help feeling the same feelings even now when I hear this song.
