Step Off The Map & Float Lyrics

Well oh my God
There’s like a dozen things wrong with this
Feel so lost even though I’m safe at home
I’ve got places to be but nowhere I need to go
It’s safe to say, the road less travelled leads to you

Your existence is a pinprick
On a paper continent
The patron saints all patronize me
Step off the map and float

Oh my God
I’ve got to dull my senses just to be out in public
Put too much faith in all you’ve ever known
It’s safe to say, the road less travelled leads back home

Your existence is a pinprick
On a paper continent
The patron saints all patronize me
Step off the map and float

Someone who is a one-dimensional person, follows trends, is invariably boring and normal, being told by a friend or admirer to "step off the map and float", and become something new.

Incredible song.

Terrific song, though when you listen to the lyrics, it's almost as if they're saying continents, or "constanance", though that might just be stylistic.

Put too much faith in all youve ever known

Is "too much trust" --- at least on their CBC Radio3 version.
