The Lake Lyrics

You held his head in your hands
And looked at me with your cold eyes
”This is the place where it ends”
And talked me into break ice

I lost all things that I loved
One million things I still love

- Cold water taste like metal
- Knifes will get under your skin
- Light shimmers in your white cloth
- One of two sisters must win

One day you’ll hear what I say
Run from me day by each day

Small push and then he was gone
Under a layer of cold skin
”This is the way that it’s done”
The fear was shown in your grin

I lost all things that I loved
One million things I still love

But I will turn the clock back today
The lake is deep and dark, there’s a way
To (let you) follow his sunken heart

I took the boy that you loved
All of the things I still love
One of us sisters were shy
Last girl you see when you die

The boy that I love
The things that I still love

Cover art for The Lake lyrics by Zeigeist

To me It's about two sisters. One of the two sisters is in love with the other sisters boyfriend and get's jealous. So she decides to kill him and her sister. The sister was shy, so thats why she never got the boy that she wanted. -"One of us sisters were shy , Last girl you see when you die" - And that the last thing the boy will se before he dies is the jealous sister who will kill him.

I think that one of the sister was always the one who got everything she wanted while the other one never got the things she loved or wanted. "I lost all things that I loved One million things I still love"

It's just a thought. Tell me your point of view!

Yeah I think you're right. Sounds like they were all in a boat in the middle of a lake. When her sister kisses or hugs the boy, she snaps and kills him. Now she's confronting her sister, and yeah, it sounds like she's about to kill her too.
