Self explanatory. The concept here: going through life empty, cold, alone. Hope exists, but warmth is never felt.
In my opinion, it seems like it means that life becomes more and more monotonous, or just feels the same.

My Fav song of there's! to me it screams devolution. We are NOT advancing as a society, but heading for WWII! The Bible and world events back his up! The good news is that destruction is not then end of the story as Jesus will save this world!
