This song is about a girl he has not met before. Basically, this girl has gone through a lot; her first kiss, etc. but he's saying to not lose hope on love because he is on his way to this one girl. Also, this girl should wait for him to come into her life and leave a space for him because basically, he's sorry for not even being there for this girl in the beginning. And then in the end he says that he'll marry this girl, "I'll be there the morning that you come out in white as I'm on my way". That pretty much sums up the song (:

Be that as it may.. I think this song is also about a father who hasn't been there for his daughter. Maybe he was on tour or overseas or something similar. And he has kept telling her that he's on his way, and to leave room in her heart for her father, even though he's missed so much of her life.

When I saw these guys live, he dedicated it to the girl who he hasn't met yet but he's going to meet and spend the rest of his life with. I don't know about anyone else, but this song is amazing if you listen to it after ending a relationship. It's like saying, there's someone out there who's going to be incredible, and i'm on my way to meet you someday. Really beautiful.
