To me personaly, this song is about a guy who's in a relationship or something with a girl, but he feel's it's not right, he feels he made a mistake by getting involved with her, not because he doesn't like the girl, but he has doubts about himself and feels he made a mistake and now he has to find the courage and the words to tell the girl about his feelings, that it would never completely work out for them, he has to break the girls heart.

hands down for a hardcore architects fan this is my favorite of all their songs its heavy as fuck when it needs to be and then it drives at your heart right after that he is an amazing lyricist it sucks that these guys as a band dont get more recognition people would rather waste there time creating song meanings to simple plan and falloutboy songs rather than bands like these guys who have lots of talent but get scrutinized for playing music not generally accepted by the media and stuck up teenagers

what i think about the song is: he liked the girl for a long time,he tried but he couldn't make things right and he felt bad about it and he was/is hoping for the girl to talk and make things right, he wants to get her out of his mind(he wants to feel hopeless "How can I feel like I shattered my, one chance tonight? ") cause he's feeling bad but a part of him is still thinking he can get the girl
