I heard it as so tired of getting hurt as opposed to getting burnt.
but this song is beautiful. dealing with how one feels when they can't sleep and everything seems hopeless from all perspectives...but then having someone there for you, the shoulder to lean on.
of course, there's a lot of interpretations to be taken from it. but that's just mine.
