I love this song.
I think it's about a relantionship that broke up and the guy is remembering all the good times and is hoping that the girl thinks about their good times as well. Wants her to promise that she won't forget about them.

I think this song could also be about friendship. Cuz when you're together with your friends you make promises to each other, you promise you'll be friends forever even when you grow old, etc. But sometimes we move on and take intraste in other things. To me this is what the song is basicly about, he saying after we move on can you promise to remeber the times we've had together? Because I will. I can releat with that, I've had friends that move away half the time. And I think about them and the good times we've had and I wonder if they do the same.
