Just Bought the Farm Lyrics
Burnt the hips
Don't say a word
Take the bait
The ignorant jerk
Ain't had no fun
In a real long time
Just goin' to work
Work all the time
And I stand, I stand back
'Cause I want to watch it burn
Just before you fall asleep
That is where you wanna be
Brass made in oil
No longer mold
The owl had time
Nothing through
I watched it grow
This crooked terrain
The crooked bridge
From which you swing
And I stand, I stand back
'Cause I want to watch it burn
And I stand, I stand back
'Cause I want to watch it burn
Just before you fall asleep
That is where you wanna be
Just before you fall asleep
That is where you wanna be
And I stand, I stand back
'Cause I want to watch it burn
And I stand, I stand back
'Cause I want to watch it burn
Don't say a word
Take the bait
The ignorant jerk
Ain't had no fun
In a real long time
Just goin' to work
Work all the time
'Cause I want to watch it burn
That is where you wanna be
No longer mold
The owl had time
Nothing through
I watched it grow
This crooked terrain
The crooked bridge
From which you swing
'Cause I want to watch it burn
And I stand, I stand back
'Cause I want to watch it burn
That is where you wanna be
Just before you fall asleep
That is where you wanna be
'Cause I want to watch it burn
And I stand, I stand back
'Cause I want to watch it burn

I can't believe no one has commented on this song- this one line
"Just before you fall asleep That is where you wanna be Just before you fall asleep That is where you wanna be"
christ,it's pure opiate poetry. Love it.
Not sure but I thought this is what Tad says:
First verse: Take the pain Ignorant jerk
Second verse: [Brass made in oil No longer mold] And all that time Nothing grew I watched it grow This crooked tree The crooked branch From which you swing
I don't really know what this song means, but "bought the farm" is an old saying which means to die in combat or in a plane crash. It's from the 50's and was used by members of the air force.
