Nothing Rises to Meet Me Lyrics
I had a thought just then
Nearly did me in
But I hummed and said 'no'
Just to make it go
This is the crude discipline
That keeps me running
A honeycomb spun
Could I spin it any thinner?
Should I hoard all my money
Or spend it all in one night
On the biggest woman
That I can find
Well it doesn't seem to matter much
And worse still this tremendous touch
To conquer what I will
To turn without a chill
And feeling open still
And wanting to be filled
Seek and ye shall find
You need more seeking time
And when I overcome
Nothing rises to meet me
Destroy everything
Examine the remains
Destroy everything
Then rebuild it again
This is the crude discipline
That keeps me running...
Nearly did me in
But I hummed and said 'no'
Just to make it go
This is the crude discipline
That keeps me running
A honeycomb spun
Could I spin it any thinner?
Or spend it all in one night
On the biggest woman
That I can find
And worse still this tremendous touch
To conquer what I will
To turn without a chill
And feeling open still
And wanting to be filled
You need more seeking time
And when I overcome
Nothing rises to meet me
Examine the remains
Destroy everything
Then rebuild it again
That keeps me running...

Hi, I hear some of these lines in a different way. Here it is what I understand, even if I'm not really sure:
Nearly did me in= Nearly did me end But I called and said 'no'= But I hung and said 'no' On the biggest woman= I'm the biggest moron And worse still this tremendous touch= And wear still... Return without a chill= And turn...
In the part 'A honeycomb spun/ Could I spin it any thinner?', the only word I can clearly spot is 'Honeycomb'. Thanks for posting anyway!
