The Wolf Song Lyrics
Some say the wolves will change this time of year
Their skin shed on the snow but they're not there
Don't you fear, down that endless stream
Where you and me
Fickle as it seems, the sun will rise tomorrow
Grains of sand keep carving out the waste
Sleep, the day will soon be ending
Sleep the day away
No, don't you waste your tears, someone's love will come to catch you
Save them, you will need as many as you can
So you better hitch that ride, you better take it
'Cause if you don't, the wolves make you run
Sleep tonight, my tired love
Yes, I will keep your toys
And keep them safely
Underneath the mattress of my bed
And if you ever come back, I'll be waiting
So don't you despair
No you can't, no you can't
No you can't, oh no you can't
No you can't, oh no you can't
Remember all you ever cared for
This world will never end while we are here
Take him out, be happy as a flower
I'll see you there beyond the clouds
I'll see you there beyond the clouds
Their skin shed on the snow but they're not there
Don't you fear, down that endless stream
Where you and me
Grains of sand keep carving out the waste
Sleep, the day will soon be ending
Sleep the day away
Save them, you will need as many as you can
So you better hitch that ride, you better take it
'Cause if you don't, the wolves make you run
And keep them safely
Underneath the mattress of my bed
And if you ever come back, I'll be waiting
No you can't, no you can't
No you can't, oh no you can't
No you can't, oh no you can't
This world will never end while we are here
Take him out, be happy as a flower
I'll see you there beyond the clouds
I'll see you there beyond the clouds

I'm sorry if the lyrics aren't right, but I'm pretty sure there are no other lyrics for this song out there. Also, I'm, like, marginally deaf and have a reputation for hearing weird things in songs, and again, sorry.
I'm not sure what the lyrics themselves mean, though. It's definitely about innocence and hope, but I don't know what the wolves stand for. It sounds negative...it's sort of cool about the werewolf reference, though.
I think it's more like this
Some say the wolves will change this time of year Their skin shed on the snow but they're not there Don't you fear Down that endless streem where you lay Fickle as it seems the sun will rise tomorrow Grains of sand keep carving out the waste Sleep, the day will soon be ending Sleep the day away
Now don't you waste your tears Someone's love will come to catch you Save them, you and me, as many as you can So you better hitch that ride, you better take it 'Cause if you don't the wolves make you run
Sleep tonight my tired one
Yes I will keep your toys and keep them safely Underneath the mattress of my bed And if you ever come back I'll be waiting
So don't you despair, no you can't, no you can't...
Remember all you ever cared for School would never end when we are here Take it now, be happy as a flower I'll see you there beyond the clouds
>*stream
Cause I have sung that song with her at a concert and I'm pretty sure those were the lyrics handed to us.

I think the last part is
Remember all you ever cared for This world will never end while we are here Take care now, be happy as a flower I'll see you there beyond the clouds
It's somewhat abstract... but I think the song is about trying to cope with the death or loss of someone she loved
