A Ghost Town For A Graveyard Lyrics
The air's too cold to breathe tonight
so let's just run away
we'll tie our lungs together
and hold our breath forever
the witness has no eyes
and you're too blind to see
we'll never need to fly again
so Preacher clip these wings
surrender!
we're on the run
surrender!
speak up darling
I can't hear you sing
it seems you've lost
your melody
this symphony won't last too long
before the sky falls down
there's a ghost town for a graveyard
where we'll never be found
the world will stop
the sun won't shine
and the stars will scorch the sky
the dead will rise
and rain will fall
as Heaven begins to cry
Preacher clip these wings!
so let's just run away
we'll tie our lungs together
and hold our breath forever
and you're too blind to see
we'll never need to fly again
so Preacher clip these wings
we're on the run
surrender!
I can't hear you sing
it seems you've lost
your melody
before the sky falls down
there's a ghost town for a graveyard
where we'll never be found
the sun won't shine
and the stars will scorch the sky
and rain will fall
as Heaven begins to cry

this song is awesome
i think this song is about being afraid of death, not wanting to think about it in the first verse "the air's too cold to breath tonight so let's just run anyway" as we run not even the things that comfort us from death can help us "speak up darling i cant hear you sing, it seems you have lost your melody" then in the last verse it mentions JESUS in his last moments on the cross no longer fearing death and instead conquering it "the world will stop the sun won't shine and the stars will scorch the sky, the dead will rise and rain will fall as heaven begins to cry"
