Egyptian Tomb Lyrics
I was born in a world that can easily bring you down
I was torn from the tomb of the foolish Egyptian crown
[chorus]
Good morning, day,
by evening, my way,
I said my way
I was raised in a town where the people don't understand
What it is to have lived in a different place and time.
[chorus]
[psych scat]
An Egyptian tomb..
An Egyptian tomb..
An Egyptian tomb..
La, la, la, la, la
I was born in a world that can easily bring you down
I was torn from the tomb of the foolish Egyptian crown
[chorus]
An Egyptian tomb.. x 8
I was torn from the tomb of the foolish Egyptian crown
Good morning, day,
by evening, my way,
I said my way
What it is to have lived in a different place and time.
An Egyptian tomb..
An Egyptian tomb..
I was torn from the tomb of the foolish Egyptian crown

I don't think the lyrics here are right. I'm pretty sure that second verse is "I was raised in a town where the people don't understand/What it is to have lived in a different place and time." The first line of the first verse, later repeated, should be "I was born in a world that can easily bring you down." Really, whoever posted this version of the lyrics must be yanking our collective chain. Is there a reason you would joke so egregiously about the lyrics of such a great, underrated, and unjustly little-known song?
