This song is so good why are there so few comments?! I have recently joined the Coconut Records bandwagon and am enjoying the ride. There music just makes me so happy! I heard an interview he had on Sirius and the reason it's called "Coconut Records" is because he said that too many bands have depressing titles and he though coconuts sounded sunny, and fun. Agreed!

Now 4 the meaning-

ok i think they are in a fight and he sees it as there is only one solution to the arguement. He knows she will come up with a lame excuse ala "no where to park", but really she's just mad. And that's why she won't come home. He doesn't want to hear her sing because he will remember how much he loves her and not want to be mad.

the chorus I think is him just stating that even though he gets mad he still couldn't live w/o her

Maybe it would be easier on him to argue if he didn't feel so terrible for hurting her.Then he says that she is too worked up and one throws the hair comment at the other (this could go either way). Then he's asking her if he was younger would they fight as much, or maybe it's the hair thing again. Then he feels bad for bringing something up from the past, because it will start another arguement..

I like the "take me on" part because you can only really argue with someone you love.(The story of my life) And the voice part like I said signifies a part of himself.
