I think that this song is talking about Jesus's love for us. He thinks that god has left him but he still loves god and wnats him back.

This simply could be about a child trying to reconnect with a parent that has left or been out of there life for long time.

You cant forget about your past. Your past, whatever that might be, is what has gotten you here. That past can be negative or positive. If it's negative, if you wouldnt have gone through your it and hadnt overcome it, you wouldnt be where you are today. If it's positive, you dont know how you made it through life without it but your so glad its here now.

Either way, its about progressively moving forward. Dont look back in regret, but always remember your past because without it, you wouldnt know where you are going.

I tend not to normally care what songs are about, sometimes it is interesting how song lyrics speak to you as a person, and click with memories of your past.

This sings to me because there was someone who I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I wanted to give everything to her. But she left, ended up not feeling the same about the relationship, and that was that.

My point is, my relationship with her, and the break up, and the pain that came with it for months after changed me. Not only that, while I'm finally over her, I'll still love her... and part of me will still want her, but still, I'll move on, having changed, hopefully for the better. :)

This song is one of my favorites..as is the band. It's talking about someones past love kind of making their way back into the others life..or at least trying to. "I know you, who are you now. look into my eyes if you can't remember..Do you remember?" This song helped me with a hard sitiuation that I went thru recently and did a lot for me.

this song helps me through my situation with a girl who doesnt feel the same "kind" of love i do towards her. this song is so emotional. and it explains my thoughts perfectly...

i think it means that when you breakup with someone you can't just forget about it and walk away. your always going to have a place for them. and how you will always miss the times when you were together. regret nothing.

I think this song is amazing mostly because its totaly my feeling in song form. I want to take christian interpritation but all I can think of is how it hit home in the relationship way. it says to me that you'll never forget that person you were with even if you've both moved on. Because you never stop loving them. I don't care what who you are or what you say. But there's forvere feelings for them.

I cry everytime I listen to this song. I think of New Moon for some reason too. I know it's a Christian song but I can't help but think how his love has left him in some way. The same with Bella and Edward. He left her suddenly (I'm caught inside memories, the promises, our yesterdays when I belonged to you) She can't stop thinking about him, and she hears his voice wherever she goes. She definitely will "Never Be the Same" without him. ♥
