Daddy Never Understood Lyrics
Daddy never understood
That I was up to no good
He's storming at me in his sweatpants
Well make me dance, let me dance, let me dance, Daddy
Sticky sweet between my fingers
Peanut butter on my pants
I'm gonna do myself good
'Cause Daddy never understood
Daddy never understood
Daddy never understood
Daddy never understood
Daddy never understood
That I was up to no good
He's storming at me in his sweatpants
Well make me dance, let me dance, let me dance, Daddy
Peanut butter on my pants
I'm gonna do myself good
'Cause Daddy never understood
Daddy never understood
Daddy never understood
Daddy never understood

The song to me is simply a fuck you to parents from a rebellious teenager. Its such a great song with lots of energy & for some reason, the song reminds me of Kurt Cobain, probably because he had such a tumultuous relationship with his own dad.
Such a perfect intro song to "Kids"
Such a perfect intro song to "Kids"
such simple lyrics but what i think is a modern day classick of a song. i saw "kids" in '06 and immediately tried to find this song. it's indie. it's punk. it's awesome. made my personal power hour of top 60 songs by different artists to drink to.
This song is so tough and powerful. Simple, but driving to the max. I have fantasies about fucking some real assholes up real bad, and in these visions I scream the lyrics to this song
