I Saw Water Lyrics
I saw water
I said I wanted to break, my friends
But my dependency won’t let me away
I like to think that I can work it out some
But I want to be put into the ground
Today I needed a break
My friends were up in mountains and I’m drowning in lakes
I swallowed water right in front of her face
Just to show that she had nothing to say
I felt lighter
I impressed her
My emotions ran unopposed
I felt just like Brian Jones
I never felt that lost before
I just don’t feel incredible
But me, well of course I liked you
Have time for me? I don’t expect you to
I see me become a recluse
It’s very easy to seclude
I saw water
I felt better
Well I woke up feeling embarrassed from
When I drowned in my swimming pool
You thought it was an accident
I just can’t get along with you
But me, well of course I liked you
I said I wanted to break, my friends
But my dependency won’t let me away
I like to think that I can work it out some
But I want to be put into the ground
My friends were up in mountains and I’m drowning in lakes
I swallowed water right in front of her face
Just to show that she had nothing to say
I impressed her
I felt just like Brian Jones
I never felt that lost before
I just don’t feel incredible
Have time for me? I don’t expect you to
I see me become a recluse
It’s very easy to seclude
I felt better
When I drowned in my swimming pool
You thought it was an accident
I just can’t get along with you

"When my emotions ran unopposed, I felt just like Brian Jones"
Brian Jones was the founder and guitarist for the Rolling Stones.
"His main instruments were the guitar and the harmonica, but he played a wide variety of other instruments. His innovative use of traditional or folk instruments, such as the sitar and marimba, was integral to the changing sound of the band. He was originally the leader of the band, but Mick Jagger and Keith Richards soon overshadowed him, especially after they became a successful songwriting team. Jones developed a serious substance abuse problem over the years and his role in the band steadily diminished. He left the Rolling Stones in June 1969 to be replaced by Mick Taylor, and died less than a month later when he drowned in his own swimming pool."
AMAZING song. Seems to me that it's about a guy who can't vent his emotions, and ends up crashing and hitting the floor. Seems as if he can't get things right; he's envious of his friends, and how they seem to enjoy themselves so much more than him. He's being ignored by someone he loves (either it was a break up, or the girl has no clue of how he feels).
To sum it up, it's a depressing song.
