(Ace Enders)
'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, that's life
(Aaron Marsh)
Trying to make ends meet
You're a slave to money then you die
(Craig Owens)
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
(Alex Gaskarth)
You know the one that takes you to the places where all the veins meet, yeah
(Ace Enders)
No change, I can't change
I can change, I can change
(Bryce Avery)
But I'm here in my mould
I am here in my mould
(Kenny Vasoli)
But I'm a million different people
From one day to the next
(Aaron Marsh)
I can't change my mould
No, no, no, no, no, no
(Ace Enders)
And have you ever been down?
(Matt Thiessen)
Well I never pray
But tonight I'm on my knees, yeah
(Ace Enders)
I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah
(Craig Owens)
I let the melody shine, let it cleanse, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now
(Mark Hoppus & Bryce Avery)
But the airways are clean and there's nobody singing to me now
(Ace Enders & Mark Hoppus)
No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
(Mark Hoppus)
But I'm here in my mould
I am here in my mould
(Kenny Vasoli)
And I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
(Duane Okun)
I can't change my mould
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
(Ace Enders)
And have you ever been down?
(Kenny Vasoli?)
And have you ever been down?
(Ace Enders & Matt Thiessen)
'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
(Bryce Avery)
Trying to make ends meet
You're a slave to the money then you die

No, no, no, no, no
(have you ever been down)
my mould, no, no, no, no, no
my mould, no, no, no, no, no
(Alex Gaskarth)
Well it's just sex and violence, melody and silence
It's just sex and violence, melody and silence
It's just sex and violence, melody and silence
It's just sex and violence, sex and violence
(Various)
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down, yeah

thanks, irthesteve. I've been trying to listen to who sang each verse... I can kind of tell the difference now, especially with Alexander Gaskarth and a few others. To tell you the truth, initially, they all sounded the same to me. But I can kind of tell now=].
great cover!
irthesteve, thanks for the artist clarification, although you got some words wrong (such as "my mind" when it should be "my mould")
I absolutely love this song. I loved it when I found it by The Verve years ago. And I love this cover even more.
this is epic. :)
this is my favorite cover of all time and the proceeds went to a great cause!
Wow. That is pretty much all I can say. This is most definitely one of the absolute best songs I've heard in a while. It's just a great meaningful song with a terrific cover. Like wow seriously the artists chosen are just so great and the song just works so well as a whole.
Haha and I absolutely love how Alex sings the part about sex. Haha that's so typical Alex Gaskarth. Hehe ;) but of course he does it perfectly. Hah
I saw Ace play this live. I cried. :) Best night of my life, no doubt.
This is such an unbelievable cover. I love it. Their voices are all so unique, but they all come together in such a perfect way. This is one of the few songs I actually bought, I usually just get them from my friends. But, it was for a good cause, so I decided I bought this one, plus it's a great song.
I don't think it's quite as good as the original, but this cover is still amazing. The voices are all really good and mesh well. And it was done for Save the Music!
