Here Comes One Lyrics
Well then you thought that the end was in sight
And then you thought there was nothing to fight
But you had opened your heart with your mind
Oh, here comes one
And you were searching for something to give
And you were searching for some way to live
But you had opened your heart with your mind
Oh, here comes one
Oh, you walking down the street and you work so hard
Let me tell you, here comes one, oh, here comes one
Oh, here comes one, oh, here comes one
And you were hoping that things would go right
And you were hoping that day could be night
But you had opened your heart with your mind
Oh, here comes one
And you were searching for something to say
And you were hoping you'd find a new way
But you had opened your heart with your mind
Oh, here comes one, oh, here comes one
Oh, you walking down the street and you work so hard
Let me tell you, here comes one, oh, here comes one
Oh, here comes one, oh, here comes one
Use your heart will decide, decide
Use your heart will decide, decide
Use your heart will decide
And then you thought there was nothing to fight
But you had opened your heart with your mind
Oh, here comes one
And you were searching for some way to live
But you had opened your heart with your mind
Oh, here comes one
Let me tell you, here comes one, oh, here comes one
Oh, here comes one, oh, here comes one
And you were hoping that day could be night
But you had opened your heart with your mind
Oh, here comes one
And you were hoping you'd find a new way
But you had opened your heart with your mind
Oh, here comes one, oh, here comes one
Let me tell you, here comes one, oh, here comes one
Oh, here comes one, oh, here comes one
Use your heart will decide, decide
Use your heart will decide

Just for some background, I'm a 40 year old guy, married , two kids, dull steady job, average in most if not all respects, but this song made me cry tears of pure joy the first time I heard it live (LD opening for The New Pornographers at The Fillmore) and continues to do so on repeat listens ever since.
Why? For its pure, sweet optimism. For telling listeners that no matter what rut you feel you're stuck in, if your heart and mind remain open to life's endless possibilities you will find that next, one thing you might not have even known you were looking for. Here it comes - it's always coming! One moment, or a series of moments, no matter how big or small, can take you on a transformative journey. It can start anytime - you might only know in retrospect that it's already started. Enjoy the song and enjoy the journey.
